March is here! The weather has finally changed for the better, and sometime soon, cherry blossoms will make an appearance.
However, today at Kids Forest, we got to view (and chew) them early because we made Strawberry Sakura Cookies!
The ingredients were pretty simple: melted butter, sugar, an egg yolk, some pancake mix, and strawberry powder for an extra kick. Our apron-adorned culinary artisans did their best to add and mix all of the ingredients. They then made the individual cookies using cherry blossom shaped cookie-cutters. It all went without a hitch!
These pink, bite-sized biscuits came out beautifully, catching the eyes of our tiny tots when they were brought to the table. And much like real cherry blossoms, they came and disappeared fast (as the kids devoured them). Thank you for coming to play with us on this lovely Monday morning, munchkins!
